3D Artist I

Position: 3D Artist I
Role and responsibilities:

About the Role 

We are looking for a passionate 3D modeling and texturing Artist to join our 3D team at Juego studios. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of 3D sculpting, lowpoly modeling, and hand painted texturing skills. You will work on various high quality game characters, props, vehicles, and environments. 

Responsibilities 

  • Create high-quality 3D game-ready assets following established style guides, concept art, set 3D pipelines, and technical constraints. 

  • Produce clean, optimized meshes with proper topology and UV layouts. 

  • Texture assets using PBR or hand painted workflows to meet visual quality standards. 

  • Implement assets in-game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine with support from the tech team. 

  • Make revisions based on artistic and technical feedback. 

  • Maintain proper layering, naming conventions, and organize files for delivery. 

  • Support the Devs with asset polishing, LODs, and basic optimization tasks. 

  • Ability to learn new tools and workflows with minimal direction. 

  • Take full ownership of all tasks assigned and consistently meet delivery targets as set by the lead. 


Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • 1 to 3 Years of experience working as a 3D Artist in a game or animation studio. 

  • Proficient in Maya or Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter and Photoshop. 

  • A portfolio showcasing 3D Characters, props and/or environments. 


    • Good understanding of 3D modeling and texturing fundamentals of Organic and hard surface asset creation. 

    • Knowledge of game art pipelines and real-time optimization. 

    • Ability to take feedback positively and iterate quickly. 

    • Ability to take directions, ask the right questions, and work in a team environment. 

    • Good communication and time management skills. 

    Nice-to-Have: 

    • Strong foundation in traditional art. 

    • Proven experience with Unreal Engine or Unity. 

    • Knowledge of lighting and technical art. 

    • Basic knowledge of rigging and animation.
